O Mensch! was a collaboration with Project [BLANK] in San Diego, CA. For this, I designed the set and costumes for the musical performance of O Mensch! by Pascal Dusapin. The piece consists of a cycle of songs for baritone and piano that unfolded in five sections that were joined together with four interludes. The settings of each song came from lyrical texts by Friedrich Nietzche. 

For the set, I created a series of short films for each of the five sections and four interludes. These films acted as visual pairings for the mood, tone, and content of each part that was then expressed by depictions of the historical plight of space exploration. The films were projected onto thin sheets of opaque plastic that moved with air circulated by electric fans placed throughout the space.
