In Layered Daze on Mango Haze, I created a sculptural installation using materials found on-site within a storage unit at the Oakland Cannery complex and the surrounding outdoors of San Leandro Street in East Oakland, CA. 

The Oakland Cannery was a fruit cannery established in the 1930s. Since 1975, it has been used to house artists at affordable rent costs. In 2017, Green Sage, a venture capitalist company specializing in cannabis, purchased the Oakland Cannery and uses sections of it for manufacturing.  Directly across the street of the Oakland Cannery is the site of a former homeless encampment.
